Missing Pilgrim

There have been a few Pilgrims who have gone 'missing' while i have been aware of the Camino and they have always (to my knowledge) turned up before - maybe they had a few rest days and did not tell anyone their plans or had to abandon their Camino due to injury or a situation at home or maybe they just walked a shorter day.

Appeal: American pilgrim missing on Camino

This is Denise Pikka Thiem (also known as Arizona) and she is  a 40-year-old Chinese American. Her brother last heard from her on the 1st of April and she was last seen on April 4th after she spent the night Astorga and was going to head to El Ganso the next day.

The woman, who is from Arizona, is 160 cm tall with long straight brown hair and weighs between 50 and 53 kgs.

I know that it is unlikely that anyone will know anything but every avenue is worth exploring just in case someone knows something. If you do add it in the comments (I am in contact with a guy who knew Denise on the Camino and is in contact with her family) or look at https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/i-think-my-sister-is-missing-please-help.32874/ and add something there (and to keep up to date on any other information).

The Camino Primitivo

The Camino Primitivo (or the Original Way) is reportedly the very first Camino Way to Santiago in the 9 th century when most of Spain was under the control of the Moors and it runs from near the city of Ovideo in Asturias as it starts in Villavicosa (which also lies on the Camino Norte so many people follow this Way from   Basque city of San Sebastian (Donosti in Basque) or in from the French border at Irun ( this route then hugs the Bay of Biscay passing through Guernica, Bilbao, Santander, Llanes before going under the Picos de Europa and then heads along the coast to Ovideo) before branching off onto the Primitivo which goes across the mountains and through the city of Lugo before joining the Frances at Melide. Pilgrim Prayer - Columba

Columba was an Irish monk (who founded several monasteries in Ireland) who sailed with 12 others to the island of Iona just off the west coast of Scotland. The Abbey he funded became one of the powerhouses of Mediaeval Christendom. He lived from 7th December 521 until 9th June 597. Alone with none but thee, my God, I journey on my way.
