Camino Ingles - travelling home

It is always strange travelling home after a Camino - you are always struck by how fast everything goes; the bus to the airport is enough but then the 'plane is even faster! Modern transport makes short work of what can be achieved by foot! It is always good to be home though - away from the snorers and bag rustlers and the painful feed soon heal but there are many things to miss; the simplicity of the Camino without worries beyond eating and sleeping as well as the friends that have been made - m aybe that is why we are already planning our next Camino

A Pilgrim race

From 18-24th June of this year there is going to be a 'race' along the Camino Frances with 10 teams of 10 walking the nearly 800 kilometres from Roncesvalles to Santiago in six stages: Logrono, Burgos, Leon, Ponferrada, Sarria and Santiago.   http://lacarreradelperegrino.com/en/

Camino Ingles day 6 - Santiago, Saturday 15th April

I find that never mind which route I walk or how long I have been walking for the day I arrive in Santiago I am both in a rush to arrive and dreading when I finally do get there - the walk has been hard and as much as I wish to stop walking I do not wish my Camino to end. All impressions and memories of this arrival day are taken up with the city as well so that there seems to be little space for remembering the walk.
