I wish that I could say that it had stayed dry all day but it rained a little for the last hour or so of walking today and I got drenched on my way back to the albergue from tea! Oh well, tomorrow is meant to be better weather .....
We set off today at about 8 going downhill and then, naturally for the Camono, straight uphill again.
We soon saw what I think was army personel on a military exercise walking the Camino - we had seen some last night as we ate going by in a group in uniform and carrying a small flag/banner in front of them (although whether what they were doing was similar to the exercise I wrote about in this blog
http://footprintsonthecamino.blogspot.com.es/2014/09/military-exercise.html?m=1 I do not know)
We stopped for our second breakfast (just loke hobbits!) after 6ish km althoigh there were no crepes in sight just an omlette!
The going today was quite muddy due to yesterday's rain and Becky and me began to wonder why we had bothered to wash our trousers yesterday!
The kilometers seemed to speed down today as we broke through the 30s and then the 20s (as the waymarkers no longer give accurate distances to Santiago due to changes in the roite) - everyone was beginning to get a bit excited by the end of the day
We're staying at a new albergue which has memory foam matresses, a sauna and even a little bed for my boots

More about it in a future blog.
