Long gone are the mornings when it was necessary to get up at four or five in the morning to be able to get a aeroplane early in the morning, now that Ryanair has it's flights in the afternoon it means a later start (it also means that once in Santiago no further travel to the starting point for the Camino is possible). This meant that we did not set off until 9:15 and were able to take a break at 11:30 for a McDonald's on the way down to the airport.
We parked the car at the place we had booked and then got the bus to the airport.
Security was not so smooth as both Becky and Dad were called over to have their bags checked so I ran to Boots to get us all sandwiches for tea that night.
We had dinner quickly and then went to the 'plane ready for loading - looking at the queue we thought that maybe a quarter of the passengers were Pilgrims.
The flight was delayed by 45 minutes so in Santiago we had to wait half an hour for the bus at seven so on the drive into the city we didn't see any Pilgrims on the Camino.
We'd booked into a hotel beforehand and so went there for the night.
