Happy Thinking Day

The 22nd of February was the birthday of both Lord and Lady Baden-Powel and Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the World celebrate today and think about their sister guides and scouts around the world so happy Thinking Day to you all!

Labyriths

There's is evidence of labyrinths dating back as far as the Egyptians in 1000BC although the term was first used in 484BC by Herodotus and they are made from a variety of materials from stone, turf (in Britain) and tiles (Roman). To be a labyrinth rather than a maze they have to have one path leading to the centre and the same path out. The use of labyrinths in Churches is uncertain: it has been suggested that they had various uses

Religious or Faith Tourism

I think that it can be clearly seen on the Camino how its popularity has led to money coming into the area it goes through – at its height large Hospitals were built to house pilgrims, Cathedrals were expanded and villages sprung up. With its decline villages were abandoned and hospitals fell into ruin and were destroyed.
